In RISE, hosts Sarain Carson-Fox and Gitz Crazyboy travel to Indigenous communities across the Americas to meet people protecting their homelands and rising up against colonization.
Directed by Michelle Latimer, an Algonquin/Métis filmmaker, the series is the first of its kind -- an Indigenous led, current affairs documentary series, released on a global platform.
RISE premiered at Sundance 2017, and has been screened at festivals across the world. It is a co-production with Canada's Aboriginal People's Television Network.
