The Wrestlers is a 10x60 minute documentary series starring Damian Abraham — longtime VICE personality and frontman of legendary punk band Fucked Up — who travels to Mexico, the Congo, Japan, and across North America to explore the fascinating realities (and fake-realities) of professional wrestling.

Episodes include a look at Japan's most athletic women's wrestling league, the voodoo inspired wrestling of the Congo, luchadores in the wake of Trump's America-First-Build-a-Wall politics, and the positive impact of professional wrestling in remote Canadian Indigenous communities.

Patrick McGuire dreamed up and developed this series alongside Damian Abraham and was a hands on creative EP for every episode.

The series had a limited preview on VICELAND Canada in early 2018, and will be premiering on VICELAND's global channels later this year.
